How many times have came across a website with big promises to make money on the internet and when you finally pay money you find no real way to make money online? Seems most people's secret to internet success is selling dreams and hope.
For years I have worked on the internet. I have thrown away thousands of dollars on software and services to promote myself. Over the years I have come across some very unique characters.
I have created a list of some of the different internet services that people offer. To make this article fun I have included some stereotypes about the people that offer these services. Take a look!
Webmasters: I am Wally the Webmaster. I prefer if you call me "Webmeister" please. I dont know how to make money online, dont ask!! Most people are really stupid, so dont talk when I am around, it's really annoying. I usually play video games and stay indoors away from people less than me. If you want to know anything dont ask, I am not paid to answer questions.
Keyword Researchers: Hello, my name is Keith. I am your keyword researcher. Dont ask me how to make money on the internet either, I am the keyword researcher! I have a secret list of keywords that are guaranteed to get you into the rankings and nothing else matters but this list. This list is the biggest thing to ever happen to you!
Graphic Designers: Hey folks, I am Dirk your graphic designer. I have no idea how to monetize online, or do I care! I am the graphic designer, I know what I am doing! Changing the design is out of the question! My meds make me a little moody, so never call me when I am working and if I am not working dont call then either!
Copywriters: Nice to meet you, my name is Candice your content writer. Don't ask me how to make money on the internet. I can never personally meet with you because if I go outside my skin might get burned, but hey I am the best copywriter that you can find and at least I speak good English! My services dont come cheap because I live in the United States, so hiring me for creating content for backlinks is out of the question.
Programmers: Hi everyone, I am Paul your computer programmer. I dont need to know alot about making money off of the internet. I have a bad habit of talking in acronyms, makes me look really smart. I never leave the house and cannot communicate in any other language except HTML and PHP, so having a girlfriend is out of the question. Hey, but when you use my services you will have a website that works really good.
Article Re-Writers: Welcome best friend ever! My name is Omar Allah-Abdul Siraj. I spin content from the hot desert and dont know how to monetize online. Hosting Services: Beep... You've reached your hosting service. We sincerely appreciate the money you give us every month. If you wait on hold for several hours we may be able to talk to you. If after an hour the phone hangs up, it is because we really dont care.
Now, take a look at all the people offering internet services. What do they all have in common?
Contrary to what they may tell you, they all make money online! Like a cog in a wheel they all play a vital role in the development of the internet.
There are three main ways to make money online:
1) Offer any of the services above.
2) Do all these services for yourself and your business.
3) Or hire these people to do these services for you.
The three main lifestyles that you may have to consider when you get into the internet business:
1) Have alot of start up money! Hopefully you get lucky and get involved with trustworthy people and find a niche that works.
2) Live in a small town with low rents so that you can afford to live with little money because more than likely you wont make very good money for quite a long time.
3) Never have a social life. Live in a first class city, work a day job, then come home and work nights and weekends.
Internet marketing is one of the most competitive industries to become successful in. When you finally do get your foot in the door and become involved with it, it can be the most challenging and rewarding career that you can imagine.
..and ultimately isn't it everyone's dream to be working from their own private paradise, living a life on their own accord!
Many people have started out just like you and I. The ones that become really successful at internet marketing not only look for the opportunity, but they create it! So, never stop! It's going to take alot of hard work, but shear determination will make you successful!
